Birdie & Clyde was born from love, legacy, and the courage to be unapologetically yourself.

Named after two extraordinary souls who shaped my life, this brand celebrates the beautiful contradictions that make us human—the bold and the dainty, the whimsical and the grounded, the fierce and the tender.

Birdie was my late aunt and my best friend. She had a lightness about her, a playful spirit that could find magic in the ordinary. But beneath that whimsy was profound wisdom. Before she passed, she told me something I'll never forget: "I can't wait until you stop caring about what others think." Birdie lived authentically, embracing every facet of who she was—girly and bold, soft and strong. She taught me that true freedom comes from within.

Clyde was my late grandfather, a man of quiet strength and unwavering resilience. Growing up as a light-skinned Black man in the South, he faced a world that tried to define him, but he refused to be limited by anyone's expectations. He was a provider, a protector, and proof that you can honor where you come from while forging your own path. Clyde showed me that strength isn't about fitting in—it's about standing firm in who you are.

Together, Birdie and Clyde represent the full spectrum of what it means to be human. They didn't choose one way of being—they embraced it all. And that's what Birdie & Clyde jewelry is about.
